Dear Don,
I waited to write you on the installation of the two units on my own boat, until after
I returned from a quick trip to Melbourne last week. I had run on several trips with some older fuel in the tank after I installed the units and experienced good results. Just prior to leaving for the Melbourne trip, I ordered new fuel and changed the primary filters. The filters were not that bad but changed them anyway.
After getting to Melbourne, which was about a five hour trip, I examined my transom corners and found no exhaust buildup or haze of any kind. Even though I had changed out my injectors about two years ago, I still had a slight grey buildup when taking a run of one or more hours. After I returned to Hobe Sound from the return 5 hour run, I again examined my transom area and still did not have any haze at all. This is proof enough to me that these units you have really work fine.
Now, after being able to experience the performance of the Diesel Tex units first hand on my own boat, I can feel comfortable recommending them to all of my boat maintenance clients.
Thanks for the good work and keep me updated on any upgrades and/or recommendations you may have in the future.
